Specifically for apple cultivation, some of the quality characteristics that apples need to have in order to reach the final consumer are:

  • The crop should be located away from polluted areas.
  • To be used for irrigation top quality water.
  • The apples must be without marks and hits, with the right color of each variety and with the right texture.
  • To be free from herbicides and pesticides so that it is safe for consumption by citizens.
  • To be transported and stored in proper conditions in compliance with all prescribed safety measures.
